What Is Counselling.
Counselling is an opportunity to discuss your thoughts and feelings in a way that will enable you to understand what is going on in your life. It is not about the counsellor giving advice but enabling you to come to a greater understanding of yourself, enabling you to make the life changes that can make a difference to how you think, feel, act and communicate with others.
I offer individuals both open-ended counselling and time limited short term counselling. The open-ended offers meeting over an unspecified length of time and generally allows for deeper exploration, while short term is for current issues that has an identified focus for an agreed time period. Both forms of counselling aim to enable you to enhance your life and to live it more fully.
I believe that I have a gentle but challenging approach. I am committed to providing counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. The sessions are weekly lasting for fifty minutes during which I am willing to talk about a wide range of issues.
