I am a qualified and experienced counsellor, having undertaken a three yeaar counselling Diploma.
During my time as a counsellor I have worked in different settings, until recently for the NHS for sixteen years. I work for EAP companies and in the past have been a staff counsellor in a hospital. As part of my training I worked in a Charitable Town Counselling Service where I met with clients and was later a Personal Tutor to student counsellors on an accredited course.
I work as an integrative counsellor having studied the Psychodynamic model of counselling for my Diploma, I also use Brief solution focus and Cognitive behaviour techniques within the way I work. I hold a Certificate in Time Limited Counselling, a certificate in couple counselling Cognitive Behavioural Systemic and am fully qualified as a Smoking Cessation Adviser.
Continual professional development is important to me so I attend seminars, courses etc as recognized by the British Association of Counselling.
I am MBACP senior accreditation
I am UKRCP Registered Independent Counsellor/Psychotherapist.
I am on the UK Counselling Register.
